The aim of the School and its professionally qualified and experienced staff is to provide the highest standards of tuition for students of all ages, aspirations and abilities. We are keen to promote the instrument to all who may be interested and ensure the best possible realisation of each student's potential.

It doesn't matter if you are a complete beginner without previous knowledge of music or the instrument, or have been playing for some time - all are welcome and should be able to show steady progress with correct application.

Children are especially welcome. The discipline of learning a musical instrument has been long established as a very good aid to a child's general educational and intellectual development. Those who take up the challenge of an instrument generally do better at school.

Regular practice is obviously necessary but we hope it should never become a chore and will endeavour to make the learning both good fun and ultimately musically satisfying.

All styles are dealt with by tutors who are specialists in their chosen fields and lessons are not in classes but on an individual, one to one, basis; so that the progress will be at the student's own pace.

If you are interested and would like to find out more please ring 0121-429 7446 or call in on Saturdays between 10am and 5pm (no appointment necessary). We will be pleased to show you around, answer any queries, and if you require arrange a free trial lesson without any obligation whatsoever.

All examination syllabuses are taught i.e. Classical (Trinity College of Music and Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music) Plectrum (Guildhall School of Music & Drama) and Rock School (Trinity College); from elementary grades to diploma level. Although the taking of these is by no means compulsory, they are generally enjoyed by the candidates who find them an incentive to their progress.

The Guitar School has been appointed an examination centre by Trinity College of Music and Guildhall School of Music & Drama.
